It all started when I was 17 and had just been diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses. I tried many different treatments only for many of them to fail. Eventually, I ran out of options. As I researched more and more, I found service dogs trained for my exact conditions. After months of speaking with doctors, family, and many fellow handlers, I decided to try it for myself.

Through training my first service dog, I discovered a passion I never knew I had. Working with Quimby bettered my mood, lowered my stress levels, and gave me a purpose, even when I was too sick to work or go to school. Shortly after beginning work with a fellow disabled professional, I decided to pursue training as my career.

Slowly, my goals in life changed from getting back to “normal” to making dog training fun and accessible to everyone, no matter their abilities, finances, or demographics.

I want you to experience the joy I found by learning to communicate closely with your dog, build your relationship, and work together as a team.

Blythe is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) as well as Associate Dog Trainer through the IAABC. She has been mentored under several different certified trainers, including Leslie McDevitt, completing her Certified Control Unleashed Instructor course. She holds several other certifications including Fear Free Trainer, CTDI, AACE, and SDJ and has completed the master course for aggression with Michael Shikashio.

She has experience working with service dog teams, pet dogs, behavior modification, reactivity, and trick training.

She currently has two dogs, Quimby, CGC ETD (4 Year Old Chocolate Lab), and Melvin, TDCH (2 Year Old Border Collie). Quimby is training in gluten detection, and Melvin is training for medical alert demonstration using a non-medical scent.
